Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Today was KBTS’ first time hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning, and we think it went down a treat!

A Coffee Morning can be whatever you want it to be. It could be at home, on your driveway, a hall or online, whatever suits you best. You can hold a garden get together and throw a barbeque, or treat your colleagues to some homemade bakes, or even get together with friends for a takeaway.

The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for Macmillan.

Holding a Coffee Morning is great fun - inviting friends and family round for a cuppa, cake and chat. The sense of achievement once it is over and you have a count up to see what you have raised for Macmillan is amazing.

What a fantastic effort from everybody involved, it’s great to see all the different cakes and bakes!

Safe to say there wasn’t much left.
