We established in a small unit in Coventry by our business owners Alan Mohomed and Kevin Bennett during May 2010 and have since grown to offer their customers warehousing and fulfilment solutions in any of their warehouses located across the midlands.
During 2017 the demand for the storage and distribution services peaked and we decided to take on the whole of Sandy Lane Business industrial estate in Coventry to consolidate its operations and grow the business.
Alan Mohomed, financial director, said: "Our business has grown over the years and now reached the point where we needed to expand our premises as we were at capacity. We have had a smaller presence at Sandy Lane Industrial Estate for some time and this full relocation here will enable us to develop further and bring all of our warehouse operations together on one central site rather than being fragmented at different locations. It is an exciting development and we’re looking forward to building on our success which is driven by customer demand for our range of services.
KB Transport Solutions now occupies 130,000 of the 136,000 sq ft at the Sandy Lane Industrial Estate, which is owned by commercial property company The Wigley Group.
Its main site had been at Henley Road Industrial Estate in Coventry, also owned by The Wigley Group, where it occupied about 70,000 sq ft, in addition to 54,000 sq ft at Sandy Lane Industrial Estate.
KB Transport Solutions has retained a small presence at Henley Road Industrial Estate for its home delivery business.
James Davies, director of The Wigley Group, said: "We have seen KB Transport Solutions grow at our Henley Road and Sandy Lane Industrial Estates, which are both popular due to their prime locations in the centre and north of Coventry."
During March 2020 the company further expanded in to Nuneaton and secured a further 40,000 sq ft in order to keep up with customer demands for order fulfilment services at Centrovell Business Park.
With 2024 on the horizon both Managing Director (Kevin Bennett and Financial Director (Alan Mohomed) have exciting developments within the ever growing company as they seek to find a new storage/fulfilment warehouse and consolidate into a new all purpose super hub.
