FBA prep is the work that has to be done to your stock before Amazon will accept it into a fulfilment centre. Each unit needs an FNSKU label so Amazon can identify it as yours; many categories require polybagging with a suffocation warning; sets and multipacks need to be sealed and marked so they are not broken apart; expiry and lot dates need to be visible where they apply; cartons have to sit within weight and size limits and be labelled; and the whole shipment needs a box content declaration and pallets built to the inbound standard. Get any of it wrong and Amazon applies unplanned prep and labelling fees per unit, or the delivery stalls at receiving while your listing sits out of stock.
