Kitting is the process of combining several separate components into one finished, sellable unit with its own barcode and stock figure. Light assembly is the same idea with a bit more work involved — fitting, fixing, sub-assembling — short of actual manufacturing. The reason it matters is arithmetic. A gift set made of six components that are picked individually costs six picks, carries six chances to grab the wrong thing, and takes six times as long on the day your campaign lands. Pre-built as one SKU, it costs one pick. The same logic applies to retail display units, promotional multipacks and anything with a bill of materials: doing the work in advance, at a bench, against a written instruction, is both cheaper and far more accurate than doing it under pressure during a peak. WSUK holds your components, builds to your spec with a first-off sample approved before any run, barcodes the output as a single SKU, and — when a seasonal kit does not sell — can break it back down so the components return to stock instead of being discounted as a set.

Co-packing is more about how existing product is presented: multipacks of the same item, shrink-wrapping, relabelling and promotional packs. A lot of jobs need both, and they run on the same bench.
