Co-packing — contract packing — is the work that turns product into the format it is actually sold in: multipacks banded or shrink-wrapped together, promotional and gift packs assembled, shelf-ready outers built, labels applied or corrected. Repacking is the same skill applied to stock that already exists in the wrong format, including rework: a pallet rejected at a retailer’s gate for a label that does not meet spec, a batch with the wrong barcode, cases damaged in transit where the product inside is perfectly fine. The instinct is to write that stock off, and it is almost always the wrong call — rework usually costs pennies a unit against the full value of the goods. The other thing worth noticing is location. Co-packing is traditionally a separate supplier, which means sending pallets out and getting them back: two freight movements, a week of transit, and stock you cannot sell in the meantime. Done in the warehouse where the stock already sits, the finished pack is barcoded and available to pick the same day it is built.

Kitting combines different components into a new product — a gift set, a starter kit. Co-packing is mostly about presentation of existing product: multipacks of the same item, shrink wrapping, relabelling, promotional packs. Many jobs involve both and they run on the same bench.
Yes, and it is one of the most worthwhile things we do. Send us a sample, we will inspect it and tell you honestly what proportion is recoverable and what it will cost per unit before you commit the pallets.
Simple repacks — multipacks, banding, sleeving, shrink wrap — from £0.45 per unit. Relabelling from £0.75 per unit. Rework and complex or high-volume runs are quoted per job once we have seen a sample, because the time per unit is what drives the cost.
We can supply standard outer cartons, polybags, shrink film and banding, or work with packaging you supply and hold for you. Branded or bespoke packaging is normally supplied by you and stored alongside the product.
A first-off sample is built and approved by you — physically or by photograph — before the run starts, with a QC check per batch afterwards. Nothing goes to volume against an assumption.
