It depends on the site and the shift. Some estates around London are on bus routes during the day but are hard to reach for a 6am or a night finish. We will tell you what the realistic travel options are for a specific site before you accept it.
For picking, packing and general operative roles, no. Most sites train you on their own system in the first shift or two and the induction covers manual handling and site safety. Experience matters for forklift, VNA and team leader roles, where you will also be paid more.
Most general warehouse roles run £12.71—£14.00 an hour, forklift roles £13.00—£15.50, and team leader roles £14.50—£18.00. Nights and weekends usually carry a premium on top. Every rate we advertise is at or above the National Living Wage.
